CLINICAL SERVICES:
Family Planning NT currently runs specialist sexual and reproductive health clinics in Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine. Appointments are with either a specially trained sexual health nurse or doctor dependent upon the client’s needs.
Family Planning is a professional Registered Training Organisation and at times it may be requested that a qualified nurse or doctor who is completing their specialist training in sexual health be involved in a client’s consult under supervision. Please inform the staff member taking your booking if you do not wish to be booked into a training clinic.

Bookings can be made by contacting the Darwin clinic on (08) 8948 0144 between 9am and 4pm weekdays. Available clinic times are between 9am and 4pm Tuesday to Friday but appointments are limited. Bookings are essential for all standard clinics.
Youth Drop-in Clinic:
This is a specialised clinic offered to persons 25 years and under with no appointment necessary. Clients are required to arrive between 9am and 10am and will be seen on order of arrival. Please note that waiting times for this clinic are variable depending on the number of clients to be seen.

Client Information Support Services (CISS)
Specialist sexual and reproductive health nurses are available by appointment, phone or drop-in to provide information, advice and support services to clients. While drop-in and phone services are available, appointments are preferred and provide a guarantee of the service being available.

Clinic Test Results – Darwin and Palmerston
Clients undergoing pathology testing either onsite or on referral to a pathology provider are required to contact Family Planning to receive their results. Results are available 8-10 days after testing has been undertaken by phone or drop-in via the CISS Clinic.

Family Planning NT offers a clinic in Katherine with specially trained sexual health doctors and nurses. Bookings can be made by phoning the Katherine Clinic on (08) 8971 3153.
Monday - 5pm to 8pm
Provision of results for pathology testing undertaken at the Katherine Clinic can be discussed with Clinic staff at the time of consultation
CONTRACEPTION
Family Planning NT can arrange for clients attending our clinics to purchase some contraception direct from the clinics.” And “ Free condoms are available through all clinics. This allows clients access to discounted contraceptives as well as removing the need for an additional trip to a pharmacy. Family Planning also provides free condoms available throughout the clinic.
LIBRARY
A library exists for all members of Family Planning Welfare Association NT offering free loan of a wide range of books, movies and CD-ROMs on sexual health. The library is located in the reception area of the Darwin Clinic at Coconut Grove.
EDUCATION RESOURCES
In addition to the member’s library, Family Planning Welfare Association NT loans education and training resources for those working in the health and education sectors. There are a wide range of resources available including books, publications, movies, CD-ROMs, educational games, contraception kits and training models. TRAINING SERVICES
Family Planning Welfare Association NT as a Registered Training Organisation offers accredited specialist training in sexual health to Doctors, Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers.
