Empowering Clinicians
Accredited Health Training in the Northern Territory

Family Planning NT is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #2131) offering nationally recognised training programs in reproductive and general health. Our courses are designed to support the professional development of doctors, nurses, and Aboriginal health practitioners across the Northern Territory.
How to Enrol
Training is available throughout the year at multiple centres across the Northern Territory. Programs include:
- FPAA Reproductive & Sexual Health Certificate (theory and clinical components)
- Implanon® Insertion and Removal Training
- Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (IUCD) Training
- Women’s Sexual Health Course for Aboriginal Health Practitioners
- Well Women’s Health Unit training for nurses
Due to workforce limitations, some face-to-face courses may not be available in Darwin. However, clinicians are encouraged to complete the online theory component interstate and undertake their clinical training with Family Planning NT.

- Read the Learner Handbook before applying
- Ensure you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) prior to enrolment
